It’s one thing to profess technical excellence; it’s quite another to prove it. In 2008, Nagarro embarked on a process improvement journey with an objective of inculcating an organization-wide culture of managing activities based on robust, standardized, and well defined processes. The Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), an internationally recognized standard for assessing software development practices, was identified as the implementation model for this initiative. Nagarro achieved its first milestone – a rating of Maturity Level 3 – in November 2009. And this month, following a rigorous nine-day appraisal led by a High Maturity Lead Appraiser (HMLA) from KPMG, Nagarro officially received a rating of CMMI Maturity Level 4. CMMI Maturity Level 4 gives our customers an added sense of security in Nagarro’s ability to successfully execute extremely large and complex projects in a predictable manner. It also helps Nagarro attract and retain the world-class talent we are known for. However, we won’t rest on our laurels for long. We are already working toward appraisal at CMMI Maturity Level 5 and look forward to sharing more great news on this subject in the months to come.
